  • unique MRI machine with a capacity of 3 Tesla SIEMENS MAGNETOM Skyra,
  • modern CT scanner General Electric Revolution CT 256/512 slices,
  • cutting-edge 3D and 4D ultrasound machines,
  • neurophysiological research methods (ENMG, EEG),
  • PET CT

This allows us to accurately diagnose the cause of your pain and develop an effective treatment plan!

Treatment effectiveness

Every year our Center helps more than 5,000 patients with acute and chronic pain.

We strictly adhere to the standards of safety and quality of treatment recognized by the international JCI Commission. This means that you can be confident in the reliability and effectiveness of our treatment.

At the Pain Research Center, you will receive help on the day you apply.

The first clinic in Russia is certified according to the international standard JCI

Accurate diagnosis of the causes of pain

Instrumental methods for investigating the causes of pain are carried out on the latest generation of equipment: MRI with a capacity of 3 Tesla SIEMENS MAGNETOM Skyra, CT scanner General Electric Revolution CT 256/512 slices, 3D and 4D ultrasound machines, PET CT, as well as using neurophysiological diagnostic methods (ENMG, EEG)

Treatment of all types of pain

Algologists of the Pain Research Center of JSC "Medicine" develop an effective therapy plan individually for each patient and use the most advanced methods to get rid of any kind of pain: drug therapy, physiotherapy, psychological support, etc.

Teamwork

The different nature and causes of pain syndrome require a multidisciplinary approach to diagnosis and treatment. That is why neurologists, neurosurgeons, orthopedic traumatologists, urologists, oncologists and dentists work as a single team at the Center for the Study of Pain. And in complex and confusing cases, a collegial discussion of the tactics of treating patients with chronic pain is conducted

Help on the day of the request

Already on the day of the initial visit to the Pain Research Center, the patient has the opportunity to receive highly professional care, such as intravenous administration of painkillers, local injection and rehabilitation therapy.

Modern multidisciplinary hospital

If hospitalization is necessary, we adhere to the principle of continuity of the polyclinic and the hospital. The attending physician of the hospitalized patient will be a specialist who conducts him on an outpatient basis and is well acquainted with the medical history.

Evidence-based medicine

In the treatment of chronic pain syndromes at the Pain Research Center, we are guided by the basic principles of evidence-based medicine and use the results of the best clinical studies to create an individual therapy plan for a particular patient

Pain management methods

  • Pharmacotherapy:
the use of modern painkillers: NSAIDs, antidepressants, anticonvulsants, potent analgesics; the use of safe drug combination regimens, dose adjustment of medicines.
  • Rehabilitation therapy:
The use of various methods of physiotherapy, such as ultrasound, laser therapy, electrical stimulation, physical therapy, manual and osteopathic practices, oxygenobarotherapy and others, to reduce pain and improve the quality of life of the patient.
  • Psychophysiological techniques:
psychotherapy, BOS therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, meditation, yoga, hypnosis and other methods that help manage pain and reduce stress, which can increase pain
  • Orthokine therapy:
An innovative technique for the treatment of joint and back pain, as well as osteoarthritis and spinal diseases. The essence of the method: the use of specially prepared autologous blood serum of the patient. The patient's blood is processed using a special system to obtain serum containing elevated concentrations of anti-inflammatory cytokines.
  • Blockade of pain (trigger) points with hyaluronic acid:
stabilized hyaluronic acid and antioxidant complex are retained in tissues for a long time, which provides prolonged stimulation of cellular activity, relieves pain in joints and muscles and has an anti-inflammatory effect.
  • Interventional procedures: carrying out blockades and injections, radiofrequency denervation to reduce the intensity of pain
  • Surgical treatment: performing all types of neurosurgical treatment: from minimally invasive endoscopic manipulations to complex complex decompression-stabilizing surgical interventions on the spine with the installation of fixation systems.
  • Radiofrequency denervation of facet joints:
a low-traumatic procedure recommended in case of insufficient effectiveness of therapeutic treatment. The essence of the technique is to neutralize nerve endings in small intervertebral joints. To do this, the effect of thermocoagulation is used: when an electric current passes through the tissues, heat is released, and the nerve endings are effectively cauterized.
  • Endoscopic nerve decompression in tunnel syndromes:
minimally invasive surgery using an endoscope (for example, for carpal tunnel syndrome, cubital canal, etc.)
  • Botulinum therapy: The use of botulinum neuroprotein to reduce pain in migraines, chronic tension headache, myofascial pain syndrome, frozen shoulder syndrome and other pain syndromes in pathology of the rotator cuff of the shoulder joint, trigeminal neuralgia, pain dysfunction of the temporomandibular joint, bruxism, Raynaud's syndrome, atypical facial pain.

What kind of pain are we treating?

Headache treatment

Everyone has experienced pain in the head area at least once, but there are more and more patients with chronic headaches that deprive them of sleep, interfere with work and greatly reduce the quality of life.

Headache can signal serious disorders in the body (tumors, vascular aneurysms, ICP, etc.), or it can be an independent disease (migraine, cluster headache, etc.)The Pain Research Center conducts all types of diagnostics of the causes of headaches and their treatment using effective time-tested methods.

Possible reasons:

  • Migraine
  • Trigeminal neuralgia
  • Stroke
  • Bruxism
  • Occipital nerve neuralgia

When should I see a doctor?

  • The pain is accompanied by other symptoms such as fever, nausea, headache
  • Pain occurred after injury or surgery
  • Pain worsens with exercise or physical activity

The pain assessment scale includes eleven pain levels, gradually moving from "no pain - 0" to "unbearable pain -10":

  • 0 — no pain
  • 1-2 — mild pain
  • 3-4-5 — moderate pain
  • 6-7 — severe pain
  • 8-9 — terrible pain
  • 10 — unbearable pain
