MRI of the spleen
MRI for the spleen is one of the types of examination of the abdominal cavity.
Dysfunctions of this organ lead to serious changes in the state of human health. MRI scans of the spleen can detect various lesions:
- foci of inflammation and necrosis;
- circulatory disorders;
- hemangioma;
- anomalies in the structure of the spleen;
- hemosiderosis;
- signs of a spleen infarction;
- tumors, cysts;
- twisting of the organ leg.
Tomography will provide a clear visualization of the area being examined. The doctor will receive a complete picture of the structure of the spleen and its changes. Based on the data obtained, it is possible to determine the exact location of the organ under study and diagnose malformations.
Medicina Roytberg's Clinic JSC has a 3 Tesla MRI machine, which allows for high-precision diagnostics while maintaining patient safety. Examinations are carried out around the clock, and the results are handed out in 1.5 hours after the procedure.
Indications
The specialist will refer the patient for an MRI of the spleen if the following symptoms are present:
- discoloration of the skin, the appearance of unexplained bruises and hematomas with weak blows;
